Talks for retail and B2B leaders making the AI-native transition

RETHINK Retail Top Retail Expert 2025 + 2026. RETHINK Retail Top AI in Retail Leader 2026. Available for keynotes, workshops, board briefings, and PE/VC offsites — booked direct, with transparent rates.

Why book me

I run the agentic stack I advise on, in production, daily. Audiences leave with a take they can act on Monday morning — not vendor logos and platitudes. Every talk grounds the AI conversation in operational reality: what's actually working, what's pilot theater, and what the next twelve months actually require.

The throughline is the CODN framework — the Cost of Doing Nothing — which I built specifically because most transformation business cases lose to inertia, not to weak ROI.

Rates

Fees are tiered by format, duration, and audience. The ranges below are starting points; final rate depends on prep time, travel, recording rights, and customization. I price transparently because the math should be obvious before we ever get to a contract.

Format Typical fee range
Virtual keynote (30–45 min)$8K–$15K
In-person keynote (30–45 min)$15K–$30K
Workshop — half day$20K–$40K
Workshop — full day$35K–$65K
Board briefing or private exec session (60 min)$8K–$15K
PE / VC portfolio offsite (half to full day)$20K–$40K
Roundtable facilitation (60–90 min)$6K–$12K

What moves the rate: audience size, custom prep (case-study tailoring, board materials, pre-event interviews), travel distance, recording rights, and whether you want a post-event written summary or follow-up call.

I don't use a speaker bureau. All bookings come direct — which means lower fees than the bureau-routed equivalent, and a faster path to scoping the right talk for your audience. If you found me through a bureau, that's fine; just know the direct path exists.

What's included

Every engagement includes:

  • A 30-minute prep call with you (and your AV/event lead if applicable) — audience profile, room dynamics, hot-button objections to address, what success looks like.
  • One round of custom adaptation to your audience — case-study substitution, vocabulary tuning, board-pack vs. operator-room calibration.
  • The talk itself at the agreed format and length.
  • Live Q&A.
  • A one-page leave-behind summarizing the framework, references, and one-action takeaway for the audience.

Optional add-ons (priced separately on request):

  • Pre-event executive briefing call (30–60 min, with sponsor or CEO before the event)
  • Post-event group debrief or office-hours (60 min within 14 days)
  • Customized written summary for attendees who couldn't make it
  • Multi-stop tour pricing (more than one event in the same trip)

Travel expenses are billed at cost, separately from the speaking fee, with receipts.

When I waive or reduce the fee

A handful of cases get the fee waived or significantly reduced. If your engagement fits one of these, say so directly — no need to be coy:

  • Non-profits and educational institutions — generally waived or token honorarium only.
  • Peer-of-mine personal asks — long-standing relationships, reciprocity.
  • PE portfolio events where a portfolio company has hired me fractionally — the fee is folded into the existing engagement.
  • Selected industry events where the audience is exactly my ICP — sometimes I'll trade the fee for an honest audience and a clean recording.

Outside those cases, fees are real and proposed transparently.

Your data lake is the AI bottleneck (not your model)

For: Retail CDOs, CIOs, CTOs, CDAOs

Formats: Keynote (30 min) · Workshop (90 min)

Custom talks

Most engagements end up custom. The talks above are starting points; if you have a specific audience problem (board offsite, PE-portfolio CEO summit, CRO offsite, AI-strategy retreat), I'll shape a talk around it. Bring me the audience profile and the outcome you want them to walk away with, and I'll come back with three potential angles.

Formats I do well

  • Keynote (30–45 min) — one big idea, three takeaways, sharp open + close.
  • Workshop (90 min – half day) — CODN audit walkthroughs, agentic stack design exercises, ICP-as-a-system clinics.
  • Board briefing (60 min) — AI investment governance, transformation business case framing.
  • PE / VC offsite — portfolio-level GTM reviews, AI-readiness diagnostics, fractional placement strategies.
  • Roundtable (60–90 min) — small-group facilitation for execs working through a similar problem.
